Letitia Huckaby’s artwork is currently featured at the LSU Museum of Art and the Hilliard Art Museum. Through heirloom fabrics, traditional hand-quilting
techniques, and photography, Huckaby mines the legacy of her family—particularly the matriarchs— to connect and confront past and present
inequities. Her work also explores the migration and founding of Freedmen's towns after the Civil War and the relationship African Americans' have
with the American landscape. Join Educators Grant Benoit and Olivia Morgan for an online introduction and discussion of Huckaby’s work.
