The Hilliard Art Museum is excited to once again begin accepting booking for weddings taking place after September 1, 2021.
The Town building and plaza of the Hilliard Art Museum offer a stunning venue for the modern bride and can be easily decorated to suit any wedding
At this time, the Hilliard is only opening up our venue to Saturday events with no more than 250 individuals on the property at a time (including
event staff). Further information regarding the safety protocols put in place by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette can be found here. Please note that guidelines are subject to change at any time before the event.
At this time mask are required while moving around your event. If guest are sitting at their table during the event they are allow to take their
mask off. The majority of the event must take place outside, and the Town building will be monitored - no more than 30 people will be allowed
inside at one time.
Holding an event at the Hilliard Art Museum entails the renter access to the Hilliard Art Museum property for the entire day of their event, beginning
at 10AM. However, events themselves may only occur for a 4-hour period of time beginning after 5PM.
- Rental Fee: $3500 ($1000 deposit required to guarantee booking. Renter will receive 50% of this deposit as a refund if the property is undamaged
and all items of the contract are fulfilled)
- Additional Hours outside of the 4-hour event window: $250 per hour
- Early Set Up Fee: $500
- Crowd Monitor: $25 per monitor per hour (1 monitor required for every 50 people - subject to change pending phase updates.)
- Required ULPD fee $50/hr with a 4 hour minimum

The plaza and grounds outside of the museum facilities are available at no cost for photographers.
The museum cannot provide any changing area
for these photo shoots. If you would like to hold a photo shoot inside of the A. Hays Town Building, this must be booked in advance. If an exhibition
is on view, no photo shoots may occur inside the building during this time. Availability is also subject to any previously scheduled facility rentals.
The cost to use the A. Hays Town Building for a session is $100 for a minimum of 2 hours, each additional hour is $50.
Photo shoots may only be scheduled during hours in which museum personnel is on the property.
- Mondays, 9 AM – 5 PM
- Tuesdays, 9 AM – 5 PM
- Wednesdays, 9 AM – 5 PM
- Thursdays, 9 AM – 5 PM
- Fridays, 9 AM – 5 PM
- Saturdays, 10 AM – 5 PM
*No photo shoots may occur inside of the main museum building.
The use of glitter and confetti in photoshoots is strictly prohibited on the museum grounds, as it damages the fountain and is difficult to clean
