Volunteer

Love art? Want to share your passion with others? Become a volunteer at the Hilliard University Art Museum! We are searching for dedicated volunteers to engage our visitors with our current exhibitions and programs. Nervous? The Museum staff will train you on how to lead a tour with multiple age groups and the content of each exhibition.

Opportunities include:
  • Assisting with school group tours, hands-on art activities and writing exercises
  • Leading adult tours
  • Talking to walk-in visitors in our galleries
  • Leading guided tours for walk-ins on Fridays & Saturdays
  • Helping with set up and execution of our Wednesday night and weekend public programs
  • Assisting with exhibition opening receptions

Join our team and receive a special docent museum membership with benefits like invitations to members-only receptions, a 15% discount in the Museum Store, and free admission to museums participating in the North American Reciprocal Museum program. In return, we ask that you please donate 10 hours of your time each exhibition season (Spring, Summer, Fall).
